“You own Divine Dream Designs in Denver, CO. What’s your pitch?”
Funny enough, I recently won a pitching contest at MSU in Denver!
Basically, Divine Dream Designs is a full service luxury event planning company that specializes in event styling for intimate affairs and private events. Intimacy is something that’s really important to me and what I like to focus on when I am designing any moment. So that could be a date night for 2, a girls picnic in the park, bridal showers, baby showers, etc.
“Is this what you’re most passionate about?”
My kids are what I’m most passionate about and my work feeds into that, especially with being able to spend more time with them. My oldest son is autistic and it can be really challenging to keep a full time job while making sure he makes his therapy sessions 2-3 times a week. Creating my own schedule allows me to show up for my children fully. I’m really grateful for that.
“What is your number one advice for other Denver Women business owners?”
Three things.
Just start.
Don’t compare yourself to others, it’ll take away your joy.
Not everyone will support you, go to where the people are who do.
“What was a pivotal moment in your career?”
When I decided to focus on niche areas rather than trying to do everything. Sweetheart rooms, picnics, anything under 50, that’s what I focus on and that’s whats brought me my most success.
